Scribe is a command-line tool that reads your git history and AI coding sessions (Claude Code, Codex), then automatically writes a structured wiki you can use as memory for your AI agents.
Scribe is a genuinely clever tool for developers who rely heavily on AI coding assistants and want those agents to remember context across sessions and projects. It works offline, costs nothing, and generates a portable knowledge base without requiring you to type a single note. The tradeoff is that setup takes real effort and the audience is narrow — if you're not already using Claude Code or Codex regularly and comfortable with CLI tools, this won't help you.

Uses AI (Anthropic Claude, Codex, or local Ollama models) in a two-pass absorb pipeline: pass one extracts atomic facts, pass two fans sources into entity-first wiki pages. BM25 keyword scoring filters out low-value sessions before any LLM call to keep costs near zero.
