Loom and Asana connect natively through Asana's partner program — no third-party connector required. You paste a Loom video link into an Asana task description, comment, or project overview, and it renders as an embedded preview so teammates can watch without leaving Asana. The most common use case for a small business is kicking off a project: the team lead records a 2-minute Loom walkthrough explaining the brief, pastes it into the Asana project overview tab, and every assignee watches it in context next to their tasks. You can also drop Loom links into individual task descriptions to give specific instructions for a deliverable. Note that Asana later added its own built-in screen recording feature (hosted on Vimeo), which partially overlaps with this workflow — some users report the dedicated Loom integration app was discontinued, but pasting Loom links still works everywhere Asana accepts rich text. Data flows: Loom → Asana: video links render as embedded previews inside task descriptions, comments, and project briefs. No data flows from Asana back to Loom. Pain points: The integration is effectively link-based embedding rather than a true data sync — Asana does not create Loom videos or read video metadata. The dedicated Loom app integration inside Asana appears to have been deprecated; users rely on link-pasting instead. Asana's own Vimeo-hosted recording feature is blocked in some countries, making Loom links still the more reliable option internationally.

Coda embeds Loom videos natively using Iframely, a third-party oEmbed service that Coda uses under the hood. To add a video, type /embed on any blank line in your doc, paste the Loom URL, and hit enter — the video player renders inline so viewers can watch without opening a new tab. You can also embed Loom as a full-page (turning an entire Coda page into a video frame) for things like team training libraries. This is a read-only embed: the video plays inside Coda but no data flows between the two apps, and you cannot record a new Loom from within Coda. SMBs commonly use this to attach screen-recording walkthroughs to project wikis, SOPs, or async meeting summaries so context lives alongside the relevant tables and checklists. Data flows: One-way display only. Loom video content is rendered inside a Coda doc via an iframe. No data syncs between Coda and Loom — no comments, view counts, or recording metadata pass between the two tools. Pain points: Loom videos must be set to public or workspace-accessible; private videos will show an error for anyone outside your Loom workspace. Some users report that pasting a Loom URL pastes as plain text rather than triggering the embed prompt, requiring an extra click to convert. Coda's embed iframe is sandboxed (no access to cookies or local storage), which can cause issues with Loom videos that require sign-in to view. If Iframely does not recognize a specific Loom URL format, you can enable Coda's compatibility mode as a fallback.

Notion's Loom embed lets you paste any Loom video URL into a page and play it inline. The video renders directly in Notion so readers don't need to open a new tab. This works well for async team updates, onboarding recordings, or tutorial libraries stored in a Notion wiki. No special setup is required — paste the URL and Notion auto-embeds it.
