Taskade for Slack — task management and team collaboration notifications.

Taskade and Todoist connect only through Zapier (or similar automation platforms like Pabbly Connect or Pipedream) — there is no native built-in integration between them. You set up Zaps where either app can be the trigger: for example, when a new task is created in Taskade, Zapier creates a matching task in Todoist, or when a task becomes due in Taskade, Zapier adds a corresponding Todoist task. The reverse also works — a new Todoist task can trigger creation of a Taskade item. Sync is one-directional per Zap, not a true two-way live sync; you'd need two separate Zaps to get close to bidirectional flow, which risks creating duplicates if not carefully filtered. On Zapier's free plan, actions can take up to 15 minutes to appear — the exception is Taskade's 'task due' trigger, which fires instantly regardless of plan. There is no automatic completion sync, so marking a task done in one app will not mark it done in the other without a separate Zap. Data flows: Task data (title, due date, project) flows between Taskade and Todoist via Zapier in whichever direction you configure. Each Zap is one-directional. Completion status does not sync automatically. Pain points: No native integration means you're dependent on Zapier's uptime and polling intervals. Zapier's free plan can lag up to 15 minutes. Building true two-way sync risks creating duplicate tasks. Recurring tasks in Todoist only trigger Zapier the first time they appear — future recurrences are ignored by the trigger.
