Clockify is a time tracking and timesheet app that lets your team log work hours across projects.
Clockify is a great pick if you need to track time across a team without paying per seat — the free plan covers unlimited users, which almost no competitor offers. The reporting and billable hours features make it easy to invoice clients accurately. The main downside is that useful features like GPS tracking and time-off management are locked behind paid plans starting at $3.99/user/month.

Log time across multiple projects and clients
Generate visual reports to see how your team spends their time

Install the free Clockify browser extension (Chrome or Firefox) and a 'Start timer' button appears inside every Asana task automatically — no manual linking needed. When you click it, Clockify picks up the Asana task name and project as the time entry description, so you never re-type anything. You can stop the timer from any Clockify surface — browser, desktop app, or mobile — not just from inside Asana. Clockify also tracks subtasks, not just top-level tasks, so teams doing detailed work breakdown get accurate numbers. If a project in Clockify has the same name as the Asana project, the extension auto-selects it; you can also let the extension create matching projects and tags in Clockify on the fly. After work is done, jump to Clockify's web dashboard to edit entries, see a breakdown by project or client, export timesheets, and calculate billable amounts if you're on a paid plan. Data flows: Asana task name and project → Clockify time entry description and project (one-way, on timer start). Time totals stay in Clockify only; nothing writes back to Asana. Pain points: The integration relies entirely on the browser extension, so time tracked in the Clockify desktop or mobile app won't show a button inside Asana. If Asana updates its UI, the extension may temporarily break until Clockify ships an update. The extension is open-source, so fixes can lag. Clockify's paid-plan rate and billing features are not surfaced inside Asana itself.
There is no native or Zapier connector between Clockify and Baserow — you connect them via n8n, which requires setting up an n8n instance (cloud or self-hosted). The most common workflow uses the Clockify Trigger node, which fires when a time entry is created or stopped, then passes that data into Baserow using the Baserow node to insert or update a row. Data that flows includes workspace, project, task name, duration in seconds, billable status, the team member who tracked, and start/stop timestamps. You can also run the flow in reverse: a new row added to a Baserow table (for example, a new client or project) triggers n8n to create the matching project in Clockify so tracking is ready to go. This is valuable for SMBs using Baserow as a custom project tracker or lightweight CRM who want time data and client data in one searchable table. Data flows: Bidirectional via n8n workflows. Clockify time entries → Baserow rows (project, task, duration, billable status, timestamps). Baserow new rows → Clockify project or task creation. No built-in two-way sync; each direction is a separate n8n workflow. Pain points: The Clockify Trigger node uses your n8n workflow's timezone setting to determine which time entries to retrieve — if that timezone is wrong, entries can be missed or duplicated. n8n is not a point-and-click tool like Zapier; setting up nodes and testing flows has a steeper learning curve. Self-hosting n8n adds infrastructure overhead; n8n Cloud removes that but adds a monthly cost.

Clockify integrates with Trello through a native browser extension available for Chrome, Firefox, and Edge — no Zapier or third-party connector needed. Once you install the Clockify extension and log in, a 'Start timer' button appears directly inside every Trello card. One click starts a timer; when you stop it, the entry is saved in Clockify automatically tagged to that card's context. Clockify also auto-selects the matching project if your Clockify project name matches the Trello board name, cutting down on manual categorization. You can also select any text in a Trello card, right-click, and choose 'Start timer with description' to use the card text as the time entry label. All logged time is visible in Clockify's web app, where you can run reports, review timesheets, and export billable hours — features Trello itself doesn't offer. The extension also works across 90+ other web apps, so Clockify users who switch between Trello and other tools get the same one-click timer everywhere. Data flows: Time entries flow from Trello cards into Clockify's time log. The card title or selected text becomes the time entry description. Clockify data (reports, totals) does not flow back into Trello — reporting lives only in Clockify. Pain points: The timer button occasionally disappears after Trello or browser updates, requiring an extension reinstall or cache clear. Time data stays in Clockify and doesn't sync back into Trello as card estimates or progress — the two apps don't share project data, just the timer trigger. The integration requires each team member to install the extension individually on their own browser.
